Pathogenesis of Infectious Disease

 

Andrew Leisewitz received his BVSc degree from Onderstepoort in 1987, honours in 1991, MMedVet(Med) specialist degree in 1995 and his PhD in 2006.

Andrew has worked in companion animal clinical medicine since June 1990 and was appointed a full professor in 2011.

His PhD was done through the Open University (UK) at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (Oxford) and focused on immune events in the spleen in a murine model of blood stage malaria.

He is a C1 NRF-rated scientist.
