EMS students make up a quarter of the GradStar top 100 list

Posted on December 14, 2018

Students from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences have dominated the 2018 GradStar Top 100 list, making up a quarter of the country’s best students in this elite programme.

Organisers BlackBark Productions and Khonology annually seek to find the top 100 students in South Africa from a pool of over 4 000 hopefuls, who go through four rigorous judging rounds. A series of interviews and assessments narrows the group to the top 100 students who are invited to a three-day conference, where they get to attend enlightening workshops and network with some of the top employers in the industry.

Laura Barker, Managing Director of BlackBark Productions, had this to say to the 2018 GradStars: “We encourage you to embrace your potential and work hard to achieve your ambitions in your chosen field. Never lose your curiosity and continue to strive to make a meaningful difference in the world.”

UP had 30 students from across various academic fields in the Top 100, with four of them named in the top 10. The Faculty of EMS congratulates the following 25 BCom students who were recognised at the GradStar Awards (listed in alphabetical order):
