Academics

As we well know the main reason for coming to the University is to further your academic education. For this reason a lot of emphasis is placed on ensuring that a comfortable and ideal study environment is created. Olienhout has a history of great success regarding academics.

Olienhout has its own study center withing the residence, which is open to every residence student 24 hours. Students are also encouraged to make use of the University’s 24 hours study centers, the Merensky(University library) and study center by the residences dinning hall. Another measure set in place to ensure that studies are not neglected is the setting of a minimum overall average that must be maintained to ensure ones place in The Republic in the following year.

With so many other activities it becomes difficult to keep the correct balance of academics, sport/culture and social. Time management is therefore a key tool, which must be effectively used to ensure ones stay in The Republic is as enjoyable as possible.
