The University of Pretoria Natural Hazard Centre, Africa provides the following services to benefit the African insurance and reinsurance industry:
Research and consultancy on natural perils, particularly seismic hazards, that affect South Africa and neighbouring territories;
Expert opinion on catastrophe modelling issues for the insurance market; and
Presentations on catastrophe and financial modelling and natural perils research of relevance to the industry.
