Get work experience

One of the best ways to enhance your CV is to get work experience in your field of study or related environment.  In a survey presented by QS in 2018, employers indicated that overall 48% were satisfied with the skills of graduates, but when graduates have completed internships this satisfaction of employers increases to 63%.

  • Tutoring

Tutoring, whether on campus through one of the faculties or an external tutor company provides you with work experience that can be placed on your CV to make you more attractive to prospective employers.

Undergraduates can apply for internships and learnerships in organisations that offer internship and learnership programmes for currently enrolled students during their school holidays. It usually includes a stipend. TuksCareers
