The Department is dedicated to excellent and relevant academic programmes and applicable practical training in Animal and Wildlife Sciences.

The University also has well-equipped experimental farms to supplement the practical training components. These include the Miertjie le Roux (near Bronkhorstspruit) as well as the Hatfield experimental farm in close proximity of the main campus.
