In addition to the taught degrees at the Centre for Environmental Studies, we also offer research-based degrees. These degrees are based on research projects of a multidisciplinary nature and in the environmental fields. The topics of this research can cover problems in several disciplines, e.g. forest management, water quality management, rural development and environment, social issues with respect to the environment, biodiversity or invasive plant or animal species.
Research projects are normally within the context of a Masters (M.A., M.Sc., M.Inst.Agrar) or PhD research degree and students are expected to complete their research within a prescribed time period (normally 2-3 years).
