Ione Loots graduated in 2007 with a BEng (Civil) degree from the University of Pretoria (UP). In January 2008 she started at Aurecon (then Africon) as a Design Engineer, specialising in water and stormwater projects. From September 2010 to March 2012, she worked as an Assistant Resident Engineer on a waste water treatment plant project. She obtained her BEng Honours degree in Water Resources Engineering at UP in November 2011. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Water Engineering with specialisation in Hydropower generation in distribution systems.
