The Environmental & Occupational Health track has several research opportunities within different relevant focus areas. The SHSPH also has research laboratories, including a Toxicology-, Endocrine Disrupting Chemical (EDC)-, and Air Quality Laboratory. Funded student projects are available. For more information, contact the Research Coordinator:

Research Goals

The research goals of the EOH track are in line with those of the SHSPH, the Faculty of Health Sciences and the University of Pretoria. The research goals are to:
  1. build capacity & stimulate research;
  2. increase research outputs;
  3. obtain more grants – national & international;
  4. improve training & support;
  5. improve quality of research & ethics;  
  6. increase collaboration; 
  7. research should impact on policy - government.
