On Thursday 30 August 2018, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering hosted their annual Industrial Engineering prize-giving function at Pure Cafe on the University of Pretoria's Hatfield Campus. This event is a celebration of the academic achievements of the previous year's first-, second- and third-year Industrial Engineering (IE) students.
Prizes were awarded in the following categories:
1. Best First-year IE student of 2017 – Prizes sponsored by Magna BC
3. Best Third-year IE student of 2017 – Prizes sponsored by iPlan Global
In the first category, Best First-year Industrial Engineering Student, Miss Lian-Maré Combrinck was the winner.
In the second category, Best Second-year Industrial Engineering Student, Miss Ané van Heerden was the winner. The 2nd and 3rd prize winners were Mr Joshua da Silva and Mr Ruan Grabe.
In the third category, Best Third-year Industrial Engineering Student, Mr Petrus Jansen van Rensburg was the winner. The 2nd prize winner was Miss Jessica-Ellen Osler and the 3rd prize winners were (shared prize) Mr Ughard de Clerq and Miss Adéle van Jaarsveld.
Congratulations to all the students who received prizes for their outstanding academic achievements.
