Posted on July 07, 2017

The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretotria, together with the University of Johannesburg and the Heinrich Boell Stiftung, would like to invite you to a public dialogue titled: 'Highway to development? Reflections on the outcomes of the G20 summit in Germany' - a panel discussion focusing on outcomes of the current G20 discussion taking place in Germany, in particular those relevant to Africa's development. Some questions that would be considered:

What are the promising aspects and limits of the compacts framework especially with regards to infrastructure development? What role for South Africa as the sole African representative in the G20? And what sets this initiative apart from previous 'big-push' approaches to Africa's development?
