MSc Research Project
The project forms part of a larger project dealing with the development of early stage diagnostic assays for detection of Mycobacterium bovis infections in different wildlife species. This project aims at cloning the gene of interest, followed by the expression and purification of the recombinant protein. This would then be followed by further development of a diagnostic assay. During the project the researcher might be given the opportunity to interact with staff of wildlife veterinary services (WVS) at the Kruger National Park, and the chance to process samples at the laboratories of WVS.
