About Us

The IA Student Body aims to unite all the students of the Department of Auditing who are registered for the Internal Auditing programme; act as the mouthpiece for the students mentioned above at the SRC and University authorities; maintain and further the relationship between students and lecturers; make contact and establish a professional relationship with the practice; participate in the University activities at an academic level; ensure continuous contact with the Pretoria Region of the IIA (SA) and participate in its activities; assist in:

· the arrangements of internships;

· the arrangements of student seminars;

· the purchase of the study material from the IIA (SA) and the selling thereof;

· job placements of students;

· the recruitment of BCom (Honours) Internal Auditing students

The Student Body hosts various functions throughout the year, including the cocktail evening, the adventure day, the IIA conference, and then of course the year end dinner, to just name a few. This creates many opportunities for interaction between students, lecturers and representatives from various firms.
