Welcome to the beginning of the most exciting, PINK adventure of your life. We are very excited to take this journey with you and to share in the adventures that lie ahead. To be a Spikkel is truly an honour and we hope you are excited to become a part of the PINK PALACE. 

Below are 10 steps to follow to prepare for your stay in Magrietjie

Step 1: Download and read your Spikkelbook
This is a very special book for first year students. Your Spikkel book has all the information you will need before moving into Magrietjie. We recommend that you study the book from cover to cover, as it will help you to prepare for next year. Pay special attention to the checklist at the end of the book to ensure you have all the things you need before you move into Magrietjie. Happy reading!
 

Step 2: Complete your Spikkel questionnaire
Please click on the Spikkel questionnaire link and complete the online questionnaire as soon as possible. This questionnaire allows us to get to know you better. Please answer all the questions as honestly as possible since we also use the answers to match room mates. Talking about room mates, please note that Magrietjie has very few single rooms available for first year students, so you will most likely be assigned to a double room.
 

Step 3: Download and complete your Clothing order form
The clothing form gives you the opportunity to order your compulsory clothing for next year. Besides ordering your residence clothing, you also need to bring black long pants from home. Magrietjie ladies wear their residence clothing on a weekly basis.
 

Step 4: Download and complete your Medical form
By completing the medical form, you will allow us to assist you should a medical emergency arise during your stay in Magrietjie.
 

Step 5: Take a head-and-shoulders colour picture of yourself
Please e-mail a full colour head-and-shoulders picture of yourself to the first year guardian, Cecile Kruger at [email protected]

Step 6: E-mail the following documents
Please e-mail your completed clothing form (step 3), your completed medical form (step 4) and your photo (step 5) to your First Year Guardian, Cecile Kruger as soon as possible but before 1 December 2018. The e-mail address is: [email protected]

Step 7: Download the parents letter and give it to your parents
Please download the parents letter and give it to your parents to read. This will provide them with important information about the day you have to move into Magrietjie.

Step 9: Checklist
Please check that you have all the items on the checklist (which you will find at the back of the Spikkel book - refer to step 1). This checklist will help you get everything together before you move into Magrietjie.
 

Step 10: Make contact with the first year guardian
If you have not had any contact or communication with the first year guardian, Cecile Kruger, please send her an e-mail and introduce yourself.
