Institutional and Faculty Agreements

International Institutional Agreements and International Faculty Agreements are used to encourage academic activities, such as research collaborations, teaching and learning, student and staff mobility, between international universities.

These agreements establish a broad framework for cooperation. In addition, they promote international understanding and increases the possibility for more funding opportunities for research and staff and student mobility. Within these agreements, individual programmes are designed to achieve specific goals.

In order to formalize a partnership, either at an institutional level or at a faculty level, an agreement needs to be signed.  Queries relating to establishing such an agreement can be sent to email: [email protected]

Requests to renew an agreement can be sent to email: [email protected]

IPAU is also responsible for recording and keeping agreements. If one would like to view agreements signed by the University of Pretoria, send an email to [email protected]
