  • Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) - has a a formal programme with the University of Venda, through the  Centre of Excellence in Tree Health Biotechnology (CTHB). They have a shortage of supervisory capacity and research equipment, access to literature, etc. FABI supports them through co-supervision of some of their students to share our experience and help add to their capacity. They also use FABI facilities for some of their work.
  • FABI also runs a mentorship programme for undergraduate students (which led to the University undergraduate mentorship programme), predominantly targeting Black, Indian and Coloured students, that connects an undergraduate student to a postgraduate student - getting them in contact with the research environment, with payment that adds to their financial security.

  • Transformation and development in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics
