BSc.Hons Pharmacology

This one year full-time programme is offered to students who are in possession of a BSc degree with Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology or Physiology as main subjects. This programme teaches research methodology and pharmacology in various fields that the department specialises in.

The Department of Pharmacology hosts an orientation day during the month of August to offer insight into the honours degree. Students are encouraged to attend this to help assist in postgraduate decisions. Attendance of the orientation session in no way affects the decision of the selection committee. Furthermore, the orientation is held on the same day as the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Faculty Day, where students will showcase results from their research projects. Students are welcome to attend these poster and podium presentation sessions to gain insight into the focus areas of the department, as well as other's in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
