The changing world is opening up new opportunities for south-south cooperation and south actorness in world affairs that has a bearing on lives of people in the south. This focal area will give particular focus to evolving dynamics of global south agency in order to understand how it might be enhanced. It also analyses the extent to which the promise (of south agency for global reform) that the BRICS materializes both in how BRICS seeks to impact global affairs and how it functions internally.
