WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Attendance is on invitation only. The JuniorTukkie Office will send invitations (via email) to the Top 10 academic achievers and LO teachers of selected schools. JuniorTukkie members who are currently in Grade 11, will also be invited to attend the Function.

The University offers an extensive range of outstanding academic programmes and this Function is aimed at providing talented young learners with essential information to support them in shaping their future and to guide them in the process of making study and career choices.

The Grade 11 learners and LO teachers who attend the function, will be given the opportunity to learn more about the University's Faculties of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Education, Humanities, Veterinary Science, Economic and Management Sciences, Law, Health Sciences and Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology.  Staff in these faculties and various support departments from the University of Pretoria will be available to answer learners' questions and provide advice covering a variety of aspects applicable to learners who plan to study at the University.  Every learner will receive breakfast, a JuniorTukkie cap and an information pack.

The programme includes a motivational speech and presentations by representatives from the University's various support departments such as TuksSport, Student Affairs and TuksAlumni.  But, it is not all about academics - the programme always includes performances by talented Tuks groups such as TuksCamerata, Ovuwa, residence choirs, etc.

The highlight of the programme - a motivational talk by a famous South African - always inspires and motivates learners for their future. Information about the JuniorTukkie Club and its advantages will also be explained to the learners.

Learners were also given the opportunity to experience and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Tuks student-life. Learners who made prior bookings, will be taken on a Campus Tour to explore the beautiful Campus surroundings and to experience some student life.
