Have you had a good autumn break? The second term has started and it’s a very short term, with a whole month of examinations coming up in June.
That means that although you’ve just come back from a holiday, you’re already on your way to exam season.
Be sure to keep an eye out for important administration dates for your faculty such as the dates for changing modules or for fees payable. Remember, don’t drop modules as this will have an effect on your studies and when you graduate.
Start working on your study timetable to ensure that you have enough time to revise your work before your June examinations. Diarise your test and assignment due dates so that you don’t forget and lag behind or over-pressure yourself at the last minute.
A good tip is to study whatever you’ve learned in class on the same day. In this way you will reinforce your class work with additional notes, tips, and videos on ClickUP and you won’t face a large volume of work to go through in a short space of time. This can be overwhelming if this happens.
Be sure to study hard for tests and put your best effort into your assignments to keep a good average mark throughout your module.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what to do, please speak to your lecturers, tutors, faculty student advisors or the psychological support services offered by the Department of Student Affairs. Your health and wellbeing are important. You are never alone, and everyone is here to help you make the most of your time at UP and become your own success story.
Best of luck for the term ahead and remember to make every day matter!
