Because of the diverse and complex nature of language and culture in South Africa the programmes in Translation and Interpreting Studies focus on preparing our students to help bridge the gaps in society – both locally and abroad – created by language and cultural barriers.
We strive to equip future generations of language professionals with knowledge of the latest research in the field, as well as the skills they need to successfully navigate today’s globalising world.
