This module deals with aspects of the following topics:
(a) The nature and purpose of insolvency law  with reference to the collection process
(b) The application of the proceeds and liability for contribution
(c) Sequestration and rehabilitation applications
(d) The assets of the insolvent estate
(e) The assets of the solvent spouse
(f) Unexecuted transactions
(g) Impeachable transactions
(h) Composition

Prerequisites No prerequisites.
Contact time 2 lectures per week
Language of tuition Afrikaans and English are used in one class
