Module content | Business Intelligence is an approach in business decision-making where decisions are based on evidence. The presumption is that data-driven decisions have a higher probability of success. Business Intelligence incorporates data acquisition, data cleaning, data manipulation, data analytics, benchmarking, interpretation of analyses, representation of analyses, the development of actionable insight, and in some cases, automated decision-making. The Management of Business Intelligence focuses on identifying, prioritising, executing, and controlling processes that promote the effective implementation of Business Intelligence. This module includes an introduction to Business Intelligence and Business Analytics. The core of the module consists of theory and case studies on managing Business Intelligence to promote the prosperity of an organisation. A focus point is the identification of opportunities and threats of Business Intelligence |
