Clinical Pathology

The Section of Clinical Pathology is responsible for teaching, service rendering and research in the discipline of Clinical Pathology. The section is involved in under-graduate teaching and clinical training of both veterinary- and paraveterinary students, and post-graduate training. The section also participates in various post graduate- and other research projects.

The Clinical Pathology Laboratory at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital provides essential diagnostic services and professional laboratory expertise to  veterinarians. The primary purpose of the Clinical Pathology Laboratory is to provide a diagnostic service to the clinics in the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital, but we also provide services and support for research done at the University of Pretoria. Our services are also available to private practitioners and other outside institutions.
