Extraordinary Professors

The Department of Mercantile Law hosted a function where the new Extraordinary Professors and Lecturers were introduced to the rest of the Department. This prestigious event was attended by Russel Loubser (CEO of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange), Judge Bertelsmann and Pillay, Dr Johann de Jager (Head: Legal Services of the Reserve Bank), Adv Piet Marais (SC) and Joël Fourie (Labour Law and Competition Law specialist). Prof Stefan van Eck highlighted that it was a privilege to have these specialists associated with the Department's teaching and research activities and that we were looking forward to working closely with them in 2010.
