Olienhout is a very active social hostel, and it is a joy for everyone to partake in our social events. With numerous interactions with lady hostels it is the perfect place to meet new people and to make friends of a life time.

Our socials cater for everyone with socials ranging from theme parties to ‘bokjolle’, cocktail parties and ‘potjie and pons’ evenings. First years also gets the chance to meet fellow first years from the lady hostels in special first year socials arranged just for them.

Olienhout also boasts with its own clubhouse where members can enjoy a drink while chatting about the weeks happenings at hostel or enjoy a game of pool.
