Hatfield City Improvement District (CID)

The Hatfield City Improvement District (CID), in partnership with the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, is funded by the property owners who contribute towards the Hatfield precinct, and cooperates closely with all the relevant authorities, including the South African Police Service, Metro Police, Emergency Services, Tshwane Metro Council and the University of Pretoria.


Operational meetings are held on a regular basis with all role players in the Hatfield area. Crime tendencies are identified and communicated to the various institutions in an attempt to minimise and prevent reoccurrences.

Cleaning services are also operated in conjunction with the City Council in an effort to prevent the further social decay of the Hatfield area, which influences the business cycle of the University of Pretoria.
