Values and Traditions

Nerina believes in building the character of every individual in the house. This is achieved by trying to live by the values which the residence has set which are in line with the University values.

Our residence acknowledges that all members of the house have their own principles and ideals that they live according to. In 2012, the ladies of Nerina came up with a set of values, which bring our norms and values together. These values are: 

1. Unity – this includes sisterhood and loyalty.
2. Respect – respect for diversity and all humankind. 
3. Integrity – a true Nerina lady stands firm in what she believes. 
4. Balance – balance in life as well as in our residence.
5. Excellence – we view pride as a natural consequence if you have Integrity and strive towards Excellence.
