Outpatients' clinic

Consultations in this clinic are carried out by final year veterinary students under the direct supervision of experienced clinicians. Consultations are by prior appointment, and may take longer than usual due to the training component.

Minor procedures (cat castrations, abscess drainage, wound stitching etc) are carried out in the day-ward, and a completely separate isolation ward allows for the hospitalisation and intensive nursing of puppies with contagious Parvo virus (‘cat flu’/’katgriep’).

After-hours emergencies are also catered for, and a small x-ray unit is attached to the procedure area to aid emergency staff with diagnosis of trauma or other injuries and emergency conditions.

Dog and cat food is available for sale at the front desk Tel +27 12 529 8575
