The Department of Economics currently has two learning partnerships. The first is with Fordham University and the Diploma in Political and Country Risk. This program targets BCom (Hons) students at the University of Pretoria, providing them with an opportunity to spend a month in New York City. The programme also includes visits by Fordham staff and postgraduate students to South Africa, which is hosted in the Department.
The second program is for Master’s students, and is a collaboration with Goettingen University, Germany. This programme targets Masters students willing to spend a semester in Goettingen. Goettingen is the house of Gauss and of 45 Nobel Laureates, and it is located at the centre of Germany with easy access to and from Frankfurt and Berlin.
