The Department depends heavily on research facilities located within the University of Pretoria. However, the Department does have a computer lab available for all of its postgraduate students. This lab is used for teaching and research. The lab contains a wide range of software that is necessary for undertaking economic research. It contains 30 computers, and offers a comfortable and quiet environment for students. The lab is furnished with the latest software, and is maintained by the University of Pretoria. Furthermore, the department has office space for up to 20 full-time postgraduate research students.
