Taaibos July

This is Taaibos’s very own take on the well-known Durban July. This year the theme was Venetian masquerade. All the men got their suits out and the ladies dressed up in their 'finest' for the event. The first years had to build a horse each and raced against each other in various heats on our well-constructed racetrack. We also have a Miss Taaibos beauty pageant.

Casino Royale 

Every year the gents from Taaibos suit up, the ladies from Magrietjie dust off their cocktail dresses and the students from these two houses all join in one fun evening around the gambling tables. This is one of our traditional evenings with Magrietjie, but it used to be known as a blues lounge evening or a poker evening, well this year we’ve decided change the old formula and make a couple of changes, hence the new and improved “Casino Royale” evening where we turn our hall into one big classy casino floor including a VIP lounge!!
