Insync”, is the first year concert. It is like a Grade 1 concert but on steroids! It is compulsory for all first years to participate. Insync takes place at the end of orientation week, which is the first week at the residence for the new first years. Insync consists of lots of formation moves and throws. It is really a vast amount of fun and sets the tone for the rest of the year. A residence that comes in the top three will generally be loved by the girls’ residences for the rest of the year, and this is always nice. Practise time is limited, thus it is very important to make use of the limited practise hours wisely. We want to use the limited time to perfect the moves themselves. The music for Insync is played by a band consisting of first years too. This is generally a hurdle as it is difficult to get the performance synchronised with the band. Strong energy and motivation are all it takes to perform a great Insync! The performances take place over one day at the amphitheatre on Hatfield campus.
